Cardholder Terms & Conditions
This eftpos Prepaid Gift card (“the card”) is issued by EML Payment Solutions Limited ABN 30 131 436 532, AFSL 404131 (also referred to as ‘EML/we/us/our’). EML is the issuer of the Card and has authorised Edge Loyalty Systems ABN 96 138 299 288 (also referred to as ‘Edge’), to distribute the Card. Within these conditions ‘you’ are the Card purchaser or user. By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions herein, you agree to a contractual relationship with EML.
By using the Card, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. All users of the Card must be provided with these conditions

The Card must be activated prior to use and within 3 months from date of issue using your card activation code and a unique validation code which was sent to you by SMS (or retrieved at 1300 304 798* if you do not have a mobile phone). You must refer to the instructions provided on the back of the card to activate. Funds will be available 90 minutes after activation. The date of issue can be found on the front of your prepaid gift card.

The Card is valid for 12 months from date of issue. The date of issue can be found on the front of your prepaid gift card. Please refer to any communication that accompanied the distribution of your gift card.

The card cannot be used after expiry and cannot be replaced. At expiry, the remaining balance will be forfeited. We will not give you any notice before this happens.

The Card can be used for purchasing goods and services at merchants in Australia that accept eftpos gift cards, excluding gambling, liquor or tobacco products, when the gift card has enough unused value to make the purchase. Some merchants may choose not to accept the eftpos gift card.

The Card can be used to withdraw the value of the card in cash at POS or from an ATM. Please note, ATM fees may apply and will be deducted from your card balance.

Keep your gift card secure - anyone holding the gift card can use its value to make purchases.
- This Card is not reloadable.
- The Card is not a credit card and nor is it linked to a deposit account with EML.
- The Card cannot be used to make transactions that exceed the available balance. For such a transaction, you need to pay the difference by another method, if the merchant agrees.
- The Card cannot be used for making direct debit, recurring, or regular instalment payments.
- Authorisations may be declined at some merchants (such as gambling, liquor or tobacco merchants or merchants who choose not to accept eftpos prepaid gift cards).
- We are not liable in any way if/when a payment authorisation is declined for any particular transaction except where the authorisation has been declined because of an act or omission on our part.
- The Card is like cash and may not be replaced if misused.
- Edge may, at its absolute discretion, replace a damaged, lost or stolen card for a $15 replacement fee. Any replacement gift card will have the same expiry date and unused value less any replacement fees. Apply by calling Salvation Army Disaster Relief Card Support on 1300 304 798*. You must present the original card number and Activation Code (located on the back of your gift card). Make a record of the Card Number and keep separate from your Activation Code. We may subject gift cards to verification and security checks at our absolute discretion.
- To the extent permitted by the law, our liability is limited to replacing faulty gift cards.
- The card will be void if it is defaced, mutilated, altered or tampered with in any way.
- You are responsible for all transactions on the Card, except where there has been fraud or negligence by our staff or agents. If you notice any error relating to the Card, you should notify Salvation Army Disaster Card Support immediately on 1300 304 798* during business hours.
- We may cancel any gift card, or the gift card scheme, for any reason at any time without notice. If so, we may either provide a refund or a replacement gift card of equivalent value unless we reasonably suspect fraud in relation to a gift card. The gift card remains our property.
- Any refunds on Card transactions are subject to the policy of the specific merchant.
- If you think there has been an incorrectly processed transaction on your gift Card, please contact the store where the mistake was made. We are unable to reverse any approved transactions.
- If the Card expires or is revoked before you have spent any funds resulting from a refund (whether or not the original transaction being refunded was made using the Card), then you will have no access to those funds.
- If you have a problem with a purchase made with the Card, or a dispute with a merchant, you must deal directly with the merchant involved. If you cannot resolve the dispute with the merchant, you can contact Salvation Army Disaster Relief Card Support immediately on 1300 304 798* during business hours.
- If you have a query or complaint about the gift card, please phone 1300 304 798* during business hours. We are not liable for the availability, quality or fitness for purpose of any goods or services purchased with the gift card.
- If you wish to make a complaint about your Card you can send an email to support@emlpayments.com.au.
- The Card remains the property of EML, and we may restrict or stop the use of the Card if suspicious activities are noticed. To check full conditions of use, go to disaster.salvoscards.com.au
- You are responsible for checking your transaction history online and knowing your available balance by viewing transaction activity online at disaster.salvoscards.com.au or by phoning 1300 304 798* during business hours.
- Information will be disclosed to third parties about the Card, or transactions made with the Card, whenever allowed by law, and also where necessary to operate the Card and process transactions. A full privacy policy can be viewed at https://www.edgepri.com/en/privacy-policy/.
- We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes to the Terms and Conditions can be viewed at disaster.salvoscards.com.au
